A new Port City Daily article discusses the Riverwalk extension project alongside the Port City Marina.
“In one project to begin this month, at a cost of $5.53 million, the city will build a concrete walkway to run along a private marina in development just north of the Wilmington Convention Center, where the Riverwalk currently terminates. The completion estimate is early 2014.”
“Immediately north of there is a $2.22 million plan for 1,100 feet of pile-supported timber boardwalk connecting with the marina walkway. It would run to the existing section of Riverwalk at Cowan Street that extends all the way to the Isabel Holmes Bridge. Construction is set for this fall toward a 2014 completion.”
