The Northern Riverfront Marina & Hotel (NRMH) construction site in Wilmington, NC has been a flurry of activity. Construction is underway and on track for the 204-slip marina to open Spring 2013.
Crews are three weeks away from completing 1,300 feet of front and back-end bulkhead work on the marina project, which will roughly stretch from the convention center north along the river to the edge of PPD’s corporate campus. Starting Aug. 1, crews will start dredging the area around the marina, to make way for boat slips and a proposed fueling station on an existing dock at site.
The complete project scope involves completely transforming the old shipping and rail channel of the former Atlantic Railroad Company into a modern, 35-acre development to include Hotel Indigo, restaurants, shopping, luxury condo rentals, and class-A office space.
